Revelation One

The Revelation of Jesus Christ

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Message to the Seven Churches

John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

The Patmos Vision

I, John, your brother and fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet, saying, “Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. “Therefore write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after these things. “As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. Revelation 1:1-20

Why we should read God’s word daily

If you Love God, you will love His word. ❤️📙📖

Remember when you started going out with your partner. So much in love. You would write each other notes that you would read and re read over and over. That you still have those notes to this day?

This should be the same way with God’s word.

Sadly though, this is not the case. Some church fellowships, Pastors will have only one scripture read out or even none at all. It’s all their babblings. Their excuse is we must keep scripture to a bear minimum because people can’t handle it or what ever the excuse may be.

I have even had a friend say to me when I first started my blog a few years ago, that I should keep scripture to one verse. To not put lots of scriptures in.

There is something very seriously wrong with all this.!!!!

Scripture tells us we are to Preach God’s word. So preach God’s word. Not your own babbling. Rightly dividing God’s Holy Word.

Scripture also says that Faith comes by hearing the word of God. God’s words are truth and His truth sets us free.

The main reason I believe is why they say limit God’s word is because Scripture convicts us. It exposes sin and wrong attitudes, beliefs etc in us. Some people don’t want that. They would sooner have their ears tickled with what they want to hear. Instead of dealing with it and allowing Jesus to minister and set them free.

God is preparing us for eternity, so we should gladly welcome discipline, correction, conviction etc because that’s what makes us grow, mature and become a better person in behaviour, attitudes and beliefs etc. To become more Christ like.

By reading God’s word daily, God blesses us with knowledge, wisdom and understanding.

We also become more and more decerning with truth verses error. What’s of God and what isn’t. What’s Biblical and what’s not Biblical. We should not let ourselves be deceived. We need to stay true to God and true to His Holy word. It’s truth. Truth sets us free.

It also keeps us heavenly and eternity minded and not worldly minded. Our citizenship is in heaven. We are not of the world but are in the world as Ambassadors of Christ, as scriptures tell us.

We also have seen some false preachers write their own books and explain how we should live our life etc. Basically calling God a liar and their ways are better than God’s ways, that the Bible isn’t good enough etc etc. Talk about prideful and arrogant. Talk about deceptions that lead the undecerning away from God’s Holy truth. These false teachers will lead anyone to hell any chance they get!

Only Jesus can save you, not these false teachers who lie, deceive and make merchandise of people. Follow the $$$$.

I wonder too, if some are ashamed of Scripture??? That that’s why they don’t share it, or limit it etc??

The truth is, we should never ever limit Scripture, we should also never be ashamed to share scripture. After all, it is God’s Holy Word.
Where is your faith? Are you trying to please man or Jesus? Mankind can’t save you. This also means you are putting limits on God, quenching the Holy Spirit etc. That’s wrong. God won’t be limited. You are only robbing and hurting, hindering yourselves.

The Bible is God’s instruction manual to us. It’s His love letters to us. It’s how Jesus speaks to us. We should gladly be picking up the Bible to read every day.

Please, no more limiting God’s Holy Word ❤️ 📖

Jesus is the way the truth and the life. You need God’s word daily ❤️
